insurance other than medicare is a for profit business enterprise. golfinsaiulor says it very well- get your disease [issue]or problems in hand before trying to purchase new insurance. Most employer benefit packages will insure without pre-existing conditions or limtations. GERD or RE-flux varies greatly in severity-does your wife really need that level of medication or can you work with OTC products for a year? But life does not hold any gifts until you reach 65 and the government of this great country will insure everybody.

billmward, your response and that of golfinsailor are so typical for people who have no compassion for others who suffer from a disease process.
Getting control as you both put it indicates that my wife did something to cause her current condition when nothing could be further from the truth. She is not overweight, she has always exercised and taken excellent care of herself and is one of the healthiest people I know.
When she was rejected by Aetna for having acid reflux and taking what the doctor prescribed, we were shocked.
Your responses are stupid, uncaring and very condescending. We are intelligent and well educated people who do not need your kind of comments on this site.
Please refrain from any further participation in this topic/thread.
