Welcome to the knitters' group. Although you didn't say it in your introduction, I assume that you are a knitter. How long have you been knitting? I started as an undergrad and I am now retired, so you can imagine how long it's been. :-) As novices and not knowing any better, we all started on argyle socks. Mine turned out just as you are imagining, my father was the only one who'd wear them. Fathers wear anything their daughters create. LOL But I only remember him wearing them once.
I see you live in the same type of climate as I do, I live in Dearborn, Michigan. Today is another beautiful day in Michigan, we have to really appreciate the beautiful days we have. It is cool, but the skies are blue and sunny.
I have a little dog, Willie, he's a miniature schnauzer. He turned 15 a few weeks ago, and is rotten spoiled. We treasure him. By 'we', I mean my daughter and me. I have been widowed for 15 years. We got Willie a few weeks after my husband died. He's such good company.
I hope to talk to you in the future.
