About Me

I'm the mother of three mostly grown children; the youngest is a senior in college. I spend my days during the school year as a high school guidance counselor. I spend my summers visiting my friends and my extended family all over the U.S. and Canada. I'm an adoptee who has contact with my birth family, so I have LOTS of family to visit!

Interests:
Besides quilting, I enjoy costuming (have worked for both The Repertory Theater of St. Louis and Opera Theatre of St. Louis), and all types of needlecraft. I'm also an avid reader, mostly of non-fiction, although I read a lot of fiction over the past year. I also love music, and sing with a couple of local groups. I drive for our local "Room At the Inn" program and work on a couple of committees at our church

Finally finished the two pillows to match Holly's quilt!  I've had the pieced squares, sashing materials, backing, & forms around for three years (since the quilt was finished) but something else has always been higher priority.  I finally decided to make them "priority 1" before the quilt started to wear out!  I'm pleased with how they turned out, especially the flanged edges.  The best part of all of this will be delivering them to my daughter in Chicago next weekend!
