Hi Jsisson, Change is a chance to learn and grow, it can be fearful, but is not to be feared.
10 years ago I retired from a job that I had been at for 21 years. Very scarey..
And lets see... since then divorce, 2 realationships, moved about 6 or 7 times, the kids moved in, the kids moved out, one moved back in, 3 or 4 jobs, a roommate, 1 then 2 and now 3 cats, lost weight, gained weight, lost some, at least 4 cars..... Whooooo, you name it I think it has happened at least once.
The point I'm trying to make is you can handle it! It make take awhile, there may be some bad times, but things WILL get better and you will come out allright.
Hi,
I know you can't stop the being all alone thought, however you have great resources ie: church involvement, good friends. Do you have a pet cat or dog? If not I suggest a dog, at least they do depend on you for company, food, water, and exercise, they can make great companions! ( Cats are soooo independent)
Your daughter will always need you not in the ways of a little child but she will want your expert advise on the adult world.
Cheer up and set goals.
