I grew up in a very small town, and youngest of three. I have two brothers who are older, however, one passed away at the age of 3 months. I was raised in a very straightlaced home and religion and chores was basically all I knew. I had no problem with that because God and His teachings mean the world to me. I graduated from high school in 1967 and went to work as a clerk typist at R.H.Donnelly's. I married in 1970 and quit work in July of 1971 to give birth to my daughter. I did not work again until 1976 after the birth of my son in July of 1975. My parents taught me to be a hard worker and to be loyal to my employers. This is what I have done my whole life. In 1998 I divorced and moved to Terre Haute. I have found many new friends and also a wonderful new husband, who means the world to me. I worked at Vermillion county hospital and only quit when I became upset over seeing so many useless deaths in young people, newborn to 21. I went to work for chiropractors and felt relatvely safe that this would not be an issue in this job. I enjoy the one on one contact with patients, as this is the majority of work that I have done. I am hoping and praying that I can find a job that will continue in the people person that I have become. I had no idea that I would be losing my job at this stage of the game. I have several more years that I can offer the workforce.
