Hi Pom lovers...
I got my first Pom when he was 6 wks old, pure black and so little. I kept him in a box next to the fridge when I was working in kitchen and folks thought he was a kitten. He was a 1 person pet, would lay next to me and growl at anyone who came near. One day I took a senior neighbor to a hardware store to get some paneling for her house, he jumped out of the truck and evidently tried to follow me into the store... I didn't realize he was missing until we got home. We searched for weeks to find him via newspaper and even radio. He didn't show up in any of the animal shelters. That was 'pooper'. Second try was a blond Pom... a large dog grabbed his back and shook him and he started having seizures and we had to have him put down : (. Years went by and I saw a Pom female advertised at the county shelter - I ran and grabbed her up quick.
She was so nervous, hair just fell off her when I was bringing her home. Someone had abused her was evident. She was 1 1/2 when we got her and she settled in quite well... she was going on 13 when she disappeared one evening when I put her out to go potty. She was losing her eyesight and was starting to have bouts of confusion. I live in the country and I know how her life ended, but do not like thinking about it... have lost too many beloved cats the same way. Punkie was replaced with Pooch, who does not get off his chain hooked to the deck when outdoors. Our cat doesn't get outside except in my arms. I would be lost without either one of my pets....
This looks like my pom( Bugger) she is darker & she is 18 years old and in poor health.. my vet says he has done all he can to help her, but I told him that is up to our Lord... she has to take heart medicine, and can hardly walk. but I love her like she is, grumpy most days, due to her poor health. sandy5

Thank you Cappy... I see you have a pom in your photo? We got a kitten last fall for him, it's bigger than he is now... they play wonderfully together...
