About Me

Married 20 years. My husband, Ben, and I are dog lovers (cats, too, but I'm allergic). We have a two-year-old mixed breed named Scout (after the little girl in To Kill a Mockingbird - one of my favorite books). I'm an editor and writer, with healthcare being an area of emphasis. I write magazine features on a variety of topics and enjoy them all. I'd like to write some fiction one day, but haven't done so yet. Also a fan of jazz, especially mainstream jazz, although I sometimes like the smooth variety.

Interests:
Living in Wisconsin, we are big Green Bay Packers fans - it's mandatory! I have done volunteer tutoring at the local adult literacy center. We're looking at becoming Big Brother and Big Sister. We spend a lot of time with family and friends. We enjoy cooking - Ben's the better cook. I love to garden - trying to find some perennials that the bunnies won't devour. It's a real problem! Also enjoy the Milwaukee Brewers.

Sorry to hear about Ben's tooth. Did he have to get it capped? Didn't go to St. Martin's fair. Too hot. Did some shopping and spent most of the day home in the air-conditioning. Glad the temps are cooler today. Quite a ball game last night. Too bad they couldn't pull it off especially since the Cubbies lost again.
Have a great rest of the week.

Hi Janese,
Thank you for the holiday greetings - very cool.
Hope you have a great weekend, too. Enjoy the weather - it's been really nice. We have been relaxing - not doing too much.
JoAnn :)
