I've been gone for the last week or so. One of our grand daughter's birhtday is in April, when she was here at Christmas she wanted to know if her NetNet and Papa Neil would come to Texas for her birthday. Well how can you refuse a 5yr old with the biggest brown eyes ever? We had planned on going in the pickup but with fuel skyrocketing Neil said we should just take a load to Texas. Where was my brain?? I had to have had a lapse in judgement. Neil had the oldest grandson(10) in the truck with him for a few days(Spring Break) he likes going with Papa. Well this load came up and the money was great so I called him up. He took the load, called me up and said get ready he was going to swing by to pick me up. So I packed my stuff, his stuff, the 2 dogs stuff and the grandson's stuff into the truck and off we went. Have you ever traveled 1024 miles with all the stuff in a space about the size of a closet? The best part was showing our grandson the Mississippi River, the swamps in LA, the endless miles in TX, he took picture after picture! When we got to Fort Hood and he got to see his Uncle Bear it was worth ever second of the trip! Seeing the face our grand daughter was the best for me. She ran screaming NetNet, Papa Neil. I had so much fun spoiling her!! Then we had to leave, what a trip home. The dogs lost all sense of training, the husband lost all sense, the grand son was on the same page as his Grandfather. When we got in I ran to the shower then into a real bed!!! Glad to be home! I'm sure my husband is glad he has his truck back to himself!!!
