This message was wretten by a lady whosebrother and wife learned a hard lesson this past week. There house burned down....nothing left but ashes.theyhave good Insurance so the house will be replacedand most of the contents. That is good news. However, they were sick when they found out the cause of the fire.the Insurance Investigator sifted through the ashes for several hours .He hadthe cause of the fire tracedto the master bathroom. He asked her sister-in law what she plugged in the bathroom.she listed the normal things...curling Iron, blow dryer,He kept sayer to her no,this would be something that woyld disintegrateat high temperatures.-Then the sister-in law remembered she had a glade Plug-In in the bathroom. The investidator had one of thoes AHA moments. He said that was the cause of the fire.He said he had seen more fires started with the plug-in room freshingers than anything else.He said the plastic they are made of is thin.he also said that in every case there was nothing left toprove that it even exieted.when the Investigator looked in thewall plug, the two prongs left from the freshinger were still there. Her sister-in law had one of thoes plug ins that had a small night lightbuilt in it.she said she had noticed that the light would dim and then finally go outshe would walk into the bathroom a few days later and it would be back on again.the Investigator said that theunit was getting too hot,and would dim and go out rather thanjust blowthe light bulb.once it cooled downit would come back on .this is a warning sigh. The Investigator said he personallywould not have any type of plug in fragrance device in my house.he has seentoo manyplaces that have been burned down due to them.

This post is a good one, to warn of an unsuspecting hazard in the home. More publicity and this plug in will be removed from the market.

Hi Jerry,

You just proved my point! I have said something like this could happen since they came out with these contraptions. I've always been against them.
I'm also very ANTI-CANDLES and electric heating pads being used in bed. My late boyfriend was a firefighter with FDNY. There have been too many children who have died or seriously injured due to candles in the home. I have always had a good supply of flashlights and batteries.
