Must admit that I'm self taught, as a young girl I loved to draw, and my mom bought me my first art kit, and I kept drawing for years, it wasn't untill I moved to Springfield Illinois with my first husband, that I started painting, our next door neighbor was aqn artist, and when I looked at her work, I thought,"I can do that"..."I want to do that", and for my next birthday my husband surprised me with a paintbox and all that goes with it, and I've been doing it ever since.
I read every art book I could get my hands on, and it was and still a learning experience for me, I thank God ,who gave me this gift, and when I don't paint for a while, I'm always afraid I'll lose it, but then I pick up a paint brush, and it's still there, and I'm grateful.
