A friend set me a photo of this old church, he thought I might like to paint it, he thought right, it was abandoned and sat on the corner of a little town he was passing through on his travels, I wrote a poem about it, but have put it away somewhere.
Oh Jen.... that is such a touching picture of the little church. When I lived in Oregon we used to vacation a lot at Mt. Hood and if we were there over the week-end we went to church in just such a cute little church. It was in a heavily wooded area, though but the effect was the same. Made my heart pound when I saw this one
I found the painting and the poem on the Storytellers Group this morning. Both so beautiful, my friend. Thank you for sharing your talents with us...we are richer for it!
