So, living in a state like Wisconsin, you have to get into the outdoors year round our you'll go nuts. One of my favorite winter outdoor activities is ice fishing. I've been ice fishing since I was about 4 years old with my dad. Now, we have an entire group of friends that get together regularily to set tip-ups and pass the time by jigging for pan fish.
What many people don't know about ice fishing is that it's about much more than cutting a hole in a frozen lake and sending down a hook with some bait on it. It's about the commaraderie of the community that develops while you're out there. It's about sharing stories, getting and giving advice and having the chance to meet new people from all over. The hardest part of ice fishing is not enduring the cold. It's actually figuring out how to take bio-breaks without mooning the rest of the fisher people out on the pond . . . Once you get past that, you're in.
I'm wondering if anyone else in this group shares my passtime.
