Hi,

My name is Jane and I'm fighting for my grandson Xander.  I raised him for 2 years.  I'm his paternal grandmother.  My son and his wife recently divorced, now my ex-daughter-in-law does not want me to see my grandson.  He is 3 years old now.  My son is living with my husband and I and when my grandson does get to come to see his daddy , grandpa and I  he screams and cries because he does not want to go back to mommy.  He pleas with me "please mamaw don't make me go back to mommy.  I want to stay here with you.  Is there anyone out there that is going through this and has any information to help me.  A little piece of me dies when my grandson leaves me.  His mother hates me and will not let me talk to him on the phone.  I try to tell her it would be easier on Xander if he could talk to daddy, papaw or I.  He lived with me most of his first 2 years.  That little boy is my life.  She is not a good mother.  Her mother took her other child away from her because of neglect.  The little girl is approximately 7 years old.  Her mother and father adopted the little girl and will not give her back but they think she is fine to raise my grandson.  

Please if there are any grandparents going through this situation please reply.  I have a lawyer who is trying to get our grandparents rights in Indiana but this is just turning out to be a very expensive joke.  Grandparents really have no rights even when the grandchild is not being taken care of.  I cry every day and cannot sleep at night.  This is making me physically sick.
