I am retired. I keep busy with my hobbies and occasional volunteer work. About the time I retired Dad got sick so I became his caregiver until he died. Being a caregiver to my Father was very rewarding and I might say it was very very hard work. I did not want him in a nursing home. I have three cats, two blacks and a tabby. I have a huge backyard for gardening, but I am a bit lazy:). I love to grow roses. But have a problem with bunny rabbits. They are faster then I am and get up at the crack of dawn. I have tried putting cat hairs on the plants, which seem to work for a short time. But every time it rains or is windy (even a slight wind)
I have to do it again. When I was working I traveled alot. I have been to Mexico, Quito South America and the Andnes. Also, Hawaii, Florida, Dallas,Texas, Michigan, CedarsBurg Wisconsin for the Strawberry festival, the mountains of Colorado and a cruise. I have also been to Indiana at the Amish center. My girlfriend and her husband took me to Arthur, IL to visit and stay a few days with their Amish friends (I really liked that trip a lot, but I like my modern day powder room):)
I dedicate a few hours a week to study the Bible. I am single, but have been engaged twice. I guess I am/was just too independent to marry and share my life with someone. The man I was engaged to is still single too. We do keep in regular communication and see each other from time to time. I sometimes do regret on occasion that I never had children. I am now trying to learn how to put some of my pictures on this site. I am not sure how I got the flowers at the left of the screen on. It was by accident. This life is a learning in progress
Interests:
Knitting, Crocheting, paint by number, cats, reading, some sewing, gardening, growing roses, some quilting, renting movies from Library, Yoga, spiritual growth, and just sitting outside on my patio reading or just thinking and watching the birds attack my flowers :) I love going to the Library in the winter months
