About Me

Separated from husband of 37 years; mother of 4, grandmother of 6. About to move to a retirement community with 2 of my three cats. Husband will move back into our home, with his dogs and the one remaining cat. Will miss my yard, garden, birds. Will not miss being alone 24/7, since I do not drive

Interests:
My persian cats, birdwatching, geneology, reading, loom knitting, computer games like mahjongg, 7 wonders, etc. Used to do a lot more, but post-polio syndrome has taken its toll

No problem with the hands - I can sympathize as a person with post-polio syndrome. I think Janus is a little different from other torties as she was abused as a kitten, so her growth is stunted. She seems to grateful to be in a good home, she is friendly and loving to everyone. Now big red Johnny Reb act every inch the champion and watches people before he will come forward!!

I was so suprised when I saw your picture of Janus. I have a long haired kittie who is also a Tortie, however she is not Persian. her name is Bella. Tell me does your Tortie have a quirky personality? My vet is always teasing me about Bella being a Tortie. Many other people do also. From what I can tell these is a lot of merit to thier coments! She is a little quirky and quite the Diva!
I also have a second long haired gray ad white shelter kittie. She is beautiful and the vet claims that she does have Persian in her. Due to how sick she was as a kitten her growth was also stunted. She looks like she is about six month old and she weighs six and 1/2 pounds. They are as different as day and night, and I get so much love from them. I can't imagine life without them.
Let me know if you have and "Tortie" stories.
