I have been thinking about you and it has been a while since I was able to post any images or comments, AARP seems to be working better now. Hope you are doing well. Have a great Thanksgiving and try not to eat too much now. Mark

Shalom!
You obviously have a gift of mercy and the Love of God pours through your hands and your heart. God bless you!
We have very similar reading interests--I would love to hear what God is speaking to you these days. I know He speaks, even in the midst of difficulties, if we listen. I have experienced it in the recent past--I became so overwhelmed that ALL I could do was Trust Him.
May the Lord strengthen and guide you during this transition time. Most of all may He bring you peace as only He can.
Blessings!
Ruth

I'm lovetheson, and I am an LPN working in an assisted living facility; we seem to have the same interests;my mom and stepdad are alive and kickin', and I moved back to Md. from Ohio to be near them if they needed me.
I love your pictures; I am a christian also, since 1980;a friend I have had for close to 40yrs. led me to Christ and the friendship became so much sweeter!
I would like to correspond with you-you sound as though you are going through a rough time now, and could use an extra ear.

My husband had Cardio-myopathy and I was trying to balance working full time, taking care of Reyna and taking care of all of his medications and needs. It can be exhausting but I felt this was something I needed to do. He had 2 packs of medication that was pumped directly into his heart through 2 hickmn pumps that he wore. Those neeeded changed every morning at 7 AM and again at 7 PM. Besides insulin and a batch of pills.
When he went home to be with the Lord I felt lost because I had so much time on my hands. I joined OA (Overeaters Anonymous) because I have always fought my weight and started losing weight. But then I got an anorexic thing going and had to stop myself. I've gained a lot of the weigh back and am again trying to loose weight. This time I'm being more careful about how I am doing it. I have been closly following the diabetic diet and doing pretty well. It's an up hill battle all the way.

Hi! back to work today. I took a vacation day yesterday because my asthma was giving me a hard tme. I get that when the weather is going to turns wet. Yesterday was just worse than usual.
Have you ever read the Phillip Gulley books? They are a humorous veiw of a Quaker Minister's life in an imaginary town called Harmony, IN. Sometimes a laugh makes everything go better. Sort of like the books about Jan Karon series on Mitford. Since I attend the Calvary Chapel I read some of their books such as Ordinary Women ~ Extaordinary God that one is a great minister.
I also knit but I've gotten a lot slower at that because of the arthritis in my hands from years of knitting, typeing, computers and adding machines. I still have several items I am working on. I was blessed with twin great grandchildren in early Feb a bay and a girl. Goodness when they start coming in 2's I will never be able to catch up. I've been working on a scarf for Rae for what seems ages. I've been wanting to get started on a prayer shawl for our land lady as soon as I can. I am one of these people that cant keep my hands still. I tell people that with all the execise my hands get you'd think I be thin, but I guess that doesn't work.
Well, I'll get back to work. Catch ya later Sue

Hi, Christine. Sitting here wandering through so many of the photos. I just registered last week. I wascaregiver for my husband before he passed away several years ago and have been raising my Granddaughter for almost 18 years. She's what keeps me sane and active. Well, sometimes sane may not be the best word for it but she definatly keeps me on my toes.
I am a Christian too. I've had to learn to lean on the Lord and let him work. It seems that can be difficult at times. In my Journal i tell about waiting and praying for over 20 years for a little girl. The Lord is never not listening he's just got his own plans for our lives.
I hope we can talk from time to time. I have a couple health issues and so spend time in front of the computer when I get home and spend even more time in front of the computer at work.

hi Sue
It is nice to hear from another christian. I don't know about you but when I became a caregiver to my mother, it was hard and tiring. But you know after she "went home" I look but and I tell myself what a honor and a privilege it was to take care of her but more important then that to be her daughter. I miss her everyday. I quit my job to stay home with her full time.. I had her on hospice care so she was at home when she passed away.. My kids live in California and at times seeing her that way, it hurt. So I would call my kids just to talk to talk to someone. My kids were very supportive. It was hard on them since they were in California and mom and I were in Utah. Its been about 3 weeks now that she has been gone and it is still hard. She and I were very close. But she told me she would be waiting for me to join her. Her favorite people to listen to was the Gaither Vocal Band, I have also come to really love their music.
If I didn't have the LORD in my life I don't think I could have made it through this. But with HIM all things are possible..
I am sorry for the loss of your husband.. The LORD doesn't always answer our prayers when we think HE should and sometimes HE doesn't answer they way we think HE should. But I am so thankful that HE knows how to show HIS love in many different ways.. It sounds like the LORD answered your prayers for a girl but in HIS own time.. Isn't the LORD wonderful to those who love HIM.
hope to be talking to you again
many blessings to you
Christine
