John Moynihan, a 65-year-old marathoner, tells the Milford Daily News that running helps him, “…stay in good shape, feel good, sleep better,” and most of all, “feel young.”
He’s not alone. According to a story in the AARP Bulletin, the percentage of marathon runners over the age of 50 raced ahead of the pack, with numbers doubling in just over a decade. In fact, more than 5,000 runners 50+ entered this year’s Boston Marathon.
