This is a new one in my yard for me. I know they're progressively making their way up the coast and into my area, for I have seen them on bird walks I go on every month at Folly Beach, SC which is about 10 miles away from my house. They've been in FL for a while because I remember hearing them several years ago on a trip to Punta Gorda and wondering what kind of dove call I was hearing. Also heard and saw them in South GA in 2005. I guess they've found my yard now, at least this one has.

These guys showed up in Alabama about 3 or 4 years ago. They are really attractive.
Thank you Zil for that kind compliment. I love my birds and I love taking photos of them.
We can always count on you sharing your beautiful pictures. This one is outstanding. What a pretty bird. Thanks, Zil
I go on the Chistmas bird count and the last couple years some have been counted
At first glance one might think it was a ground dove or a mourning dove. I live in Massachusetts so I don't think they're around here but I will keep an eye open!
Congratulations on the photos you posted today! I have never noticed the Eurasian Collared Dove before. I see tons of the morning doves where I live. But now that I have moved to Texas I will have to keep my eyes open. Thanks so much for posting the photo and sharing it with us. Cindy
