Isn't amazing how we can be come distracted? And America offers much distraction, doesn't it? Let's talk about distraction at some point. What do we do to not get addicted to it?
Welcome, it is very good to have others also here - more diversification of thoughts. You certainly have the right of it: every moment should be a friend including silence (which I love). I never thought of moments as friends, but I like it. I wish I could have used it in therapy (retired psychologist). Those thoughts help children/people immensely - a simple but complex analogy. I, too, have gotten busier although retired. I'm a compulsive reader, have to let it go if I spend time on the computer, and am again, again researching the family tree. You stated that work keeps you busy and amused. Please explain: amused. I'm afraid I never found that moment in working...such a shame. It's good to have you here. Cheryle
Thank you for frienship. Hope to see you hear again.
Sincerely,
Jane
I FIND THAT MAKING EVERY MOMENT A FRIEND, WHETHER IT BE SILENCE, WHIMSY OR CHAOS. MAKING FRIENDS WITH ALL THE EMOTIONS WE HAVE MAKES LIFE A LOT EASIER TO ENJOY. WHEN WE GET "CAUGHT UP" IN THE FEELINGS AND EMOTIONS THEY BECOME OUR ENEMIES. REVERENCE FOR OURSELVES KEEPS US BALANCED, TOO. IT'S GOOD TO HAVE A NEW FRIEND ON THIS SITE. I DON'T VISIT OFTEN AS WORK KEEPS ME BUSY AND AMUSED. WELCOME WOLKTHINKER! GOOD TO HAVE YOU PRESENT.
YOUR FRIEND,
SKYRAVEN
Well, we cannot get rid of chaos. For sure. Breathing in, I know I am breathing in chaos. Breathing out, I smile.
We become porous. Cellular exchange. Like the trees, breathing in, and breathing out carbon dioxide.
We may get off the exit, and into the chaos. It's okay. If we have a personal practice of sorts, one that offers meditative experiences, we can walk in and right out the same door...may take a week, or month, or a minute...depending. The deeper issue is reverence for ourselves. How do I love myself in this precious moment.
This is a beautiful video and very soothing. If only living everyday could be so peaceful. But I don't believe we are meant to live constantly in such a peaceful state. The visualizations are wonderful. But my experience has been that generally people 'enjoy' chaos and even seek it. What a waste of time and energy.
