I'm sorry it has taken me so long to get back with an update, here's why......... I'm going to make a very, very long story short. Why? Because I'm so very frustrated! I t took forever with many, many phone calls to many, many different agencies to finally get someone to go out and see about those horses. When I called back to get feed back on what had happened [ as I was told I could do ], I was talked to as I was in the wrong for ever reporting the neglect in the first place. The owner had told the investigator that the horses were "rescue" horses and that they had looked much worse when they first brought them home. This is not a truthful statement! The only redeeming thing the investigator told me was that follow up visits are scheduled to check on the horses progress. My hope is that the owner will now provide adequate nutrition for the horses. My fear is that this will only happen as long as the scheduled visits continue. Any comments or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Susan |

Thank you, naya.
Am going to keep a check on those horses, and if things do not improve, or if they only improve temporarily, I just may contact the Reps for this area.
Thanks again for the info.
Susan
I am sure you have contacted local authorities. I sometimes start at the top. I go to the Federal or State authorities and make them aware of a situation. I usually have a written letter and keep a copy to give to the locals to let them know that what I tell them is true. Take and continue to take pictures of the horses progress.
Get your State or Federal Rep involved. They havea job to do. make them work for their money !!!!
