It's Story Telling TIme
I find writing and reading stories about animals, friends, art anything that takes a person on an adventure with words and leaves some kind of message feeds the soul. It makes for all kinds of emotions, that can take you out on a cliff to being laid back and at peace. Putting one word after another and entaining yourself while in the process is a wonderful experience. It has just been in the last few years that I love putting words together. I always loved reading - but now I enjoy writing too!

I want to take the time to say hello to all the members of Story Telling Time.  Welcome to the new members.  I am so sorry to have let my group down.  With winter weather comes down time for me.  When the weather warms up, then I may be able to be a part of the group once again.  I do hope that you all continue to tell us your stories.  I do look forward to reading them.  We have a very talented group of writers.  I look forwards to being active in the group as soon as the weather here warms up.  Take care and have fun with your stories....RaeDi

Hello, just wanted to introduce myself to the group. I have just self published my first book, "Heart to Heart" by C. Bruce Johnson. Like some of you I grew frustrated with the economy and tight wallets of book publishers. Self publishers proved far less freightening than my friends had described.

I would be interested in other writers' comments about "Heart to Heart", which profiled twelve people who survived heart  attacks or cardiovascular disease and discovered better lives in their recovery--in my case I became a runner and completed the Marine Corp Marathon in DC. That's just the beginning.

Dear Dee, Know that I have you and your family in my heart, thoughts and prayers.  I am so sorry for your loss.  I am sorry that I didn't see this until now.  I know that everything that you and your family has been through this past year has been a very steep hill (mountain) to climb, but you and your family are very close to the top.  Know I am here if you should need anything.  I am trying to check in at least once a week right now.  Know that your memories of your Mother will always be with you and they will make you whole again.  I know that you have a special place in your heart for your Mother and she will never leave your heart ~ she will be with you anytime you need to talk with her, laugh with her and just think with her, I know, that is where my sister Jacquie is ~ the memories have helped me to heal and her being with me all the time, I share as I find or come upon things that gave us both joy, love and even pause.  Your Friend....RaeDi
