We haven't heard much lately from you quilters out there. How do you think the swap is going? What are your plans for the blocks ? One more month to go ! I have an ideal for my blocks . What are yours ? |

I am really so glad to hear you liked your blocks . I saw your picture. I will be sending my blocks out at the end of Nov. and hope everyone else will also. Just one month lfet. Lets all finish the swap ! Get going girls the holidays are upon us.
I posted a picture of the blocks that I have received. I laid them out on the floor and they are beautiful. My husband is crazy about the colors. I already made my November blocks and put them in the mailer to be sent out. I will mail them as I am sure some folks already got theirs prepared.
I am sorry to hear that there were problems. What were those problems? Can they be solved?
I enjoyed the block swap very much and hope that after the holidays we can work something out to continue along this path.
Well girl I intend to finish up my last three blocks and send themon to Sue Lovelace. In California. I made some extra blacks tonight in colors that I like and blend in real wellwith the quilt. I have a pale gold color I am going to use so the eye has a pace to rest. Some of my blocks just don't fit in. I will lake something diffenent from them
I was thinking about makimg my g daughter a crib quilt for her dolls. I made a real small one for her doll house. And she loved it.
We haven't heard from so many of you ladies. Ii hope you are stil hear and willc ontinue to post you ideal. We miss having our little chats with you. I like checking every morning with my cip of coffee to see whats being shared.
Last Saturday, at the quilter's "garage sale," I realized that I should lay my blocks out and try to decide what sort of blocks to add to help all the colors and patterns blend. I was thinking of making some neutral blocks of the same pattern playing with the light, dark and middle values. The neutral blocks could be different values of brown, blue...or maybe just use a color scheme such as blue and white for the remaining ones.
I'm headed to my Mom's tomorrow...so I won't get a chance to take a look at this until Friday. I'll let you know what I decide.
Sorry, I haven't been writing much lately...I'd like another challenge...but probably not until spring.
Too busy to think about what to do yet. But I know that the minute I get my last blocks, I will probably get to working on a lap quilt as a gift or a charity donation through out group.
haven't had time to think about it,, any one have any ideas for something to get everyone interested ....give us your ideas,,,,,,,, this last block exchange was really fun... anyone?..am busy till after the weekend.. will talk more then.
