Hi Everyone,

There is a new movie opening up this weekend, and I'd love to have Coffee with you on Sunday where we can discuss this film.  :-))   If not on Sunday, than in the near future.

Judging by the trailer, this movie looks rather good, doesn't it?   Although there is no right or wrong, we don't have to feel the same way!

You might want to view the trailer first, and then decide if you want to see it.

Then too, there are other new movies opening soon, or older movies which we see on Cable.  All are open for discussion.   Enjoy the rest of the week!   Shelby

Hi Janice,

Thank you for your post.  I heard "The Blind Side"  was excellent, and that Sandra Bullock might be nominated for an Academy Award.  When I come back from my Thanksgiving Holiday Trip, I'm planing to see this movie.

However, last night I saw "1020", and I thought the special effects were a mind blower.   I didn't even mind John Cussak surviving all of those catastrophies. although some might have found fault with the implausibility of he and his family doing so.

I would love to know how they made this film, as I've seen nothing to it's equivilent in special effects.  Shelby

We just got back from seeing The Blind Side.  It was a really enjoyable, sensitive, family friendly movie.  Sandra Bullock was terrific in her role.  The little boy who played S.J. almost stole the show.  Don't miss it!

Hi John,

<There's a group here in our town that sponsors a free movie once a month for senior citizens. We take a can of food for the local food bank as "admission". There are door prizes and the movie is always a first run.>

What a great idea!!!   I wish they would do that in my neck of the woods!   Shelby

I plan on seeing Scrooge tomorrow if UPS cooperates by delivering a package on time. Will let you know. There's a group here in our town that sponsors a free movie once a month for senior citizens. We take a can of food for the local food bank as "admission". There are door prizes and the movie is always a first run. Last month they had Fame.

Hi John,

I ended up not seeing that supposed thriller because of the reviews.  My friend decided that he wasn't in the mood for a long film if it wasn't considered a really good movie.

John, what did you think of the move "Scrooge"?  Please post your opinion!    Shelby

Hi Pauletoo,

I do not think I would recommend the Movie "Men Who Stare At Goats" to you, because most of those in the Theater didn't care for it.

Even if I chuckled during the film, the words "Dumb", "Stupid", and "Silly" were mentioned in the Ladies room afterwards!

However there is a movie opening up which was recommended to me, by a professional critic that I respect, and that Gentleman is Jackie K. Cooper who used to post here, and I am looking forward to seeing it.

That movie is with Sandra BullocK and called "THE BLIND SIDE", and it's a true story.  In fact look at the trailer and see what you think?   Shelby
