Now that you say that, what I'm seeing in our town makes sense. It is only showing at one theater in our town (we have 3 theaters). I'd better go see it while I can.
It sounds great. My wife and I took a quick trip to the San Francisco Bay area this weekend. I wanted to go to a movie, but the kids and grandkids come first. Guess I'll have to wait for Netflix.
Bummer huh???...us poor little insignficant small cities
Have a great week
Sounds just wonderful...I just knew the scenery would be amazing...oh well, at sometime I will get to see it for myself...thanks for your input....Have a great week
Gosh I didn't know that Las Vegas was amongst the privileged few cities to get to see Amelia - which we did yesterday afternoon. The film took place between 1928 and 1937. It started about the time she had begun to make a name for herself in aviation I haven't read the reviews in full yet so I can give my take on it without being influenced. Of course, the scenery from the air was fantastic, the soundtrack reminded me of the wonderful music from Out of Africa when Robert Redford and Meryl Streep were flying in his plane. Hilary Swank played a great role - they showed actual news footage of Amelia Earhart and she quite resembled her except Amelia was a lot taller. Richard Gere played a very sensitive role. I am honestly not sure whether or not there will be any academy award nominations for Amelia - if any, it would be for Hilary as best actress, however, hopefully, the best of Hollywood is yet to come this year! It would be a shame to have to see this movie on DVD though as it does have sweeping vistas that are best seen on the big screen so I hope that the film will be distributed to more cities very soon. To sum it up, it is definitely worthwhile seeing but not one of those movies that everyone will be talking about.
It's not in our town either, but of course we not near a really big city.
