As parents age, many families
experience role reversals. Adult children often must step into the
roles of caregivers, assume control of their parents’
finances, and help make daily life decisions, sometimes against
their parents’ wishes. It’s not easy, especially when
there is no roadmap to follow, and taking care of our parents force
us to make tough calls about our own lives. Knowing how others are coping can help. Are you a caregiver? Have you
watched your parents make major changes late in life? Where can you
find home care help? What’s your take on uprooting family
members to new care facilities? To post comments, join our group- it’s free, and it’s easy! Click the button to the left to get started. |
