Global warming is the biggest  non event ever dreamed up and should be treated as such. A great number of leading scientist agree that the planet is cooling instead of warming and may indeed present a greater move toward ice age conditions than elevated warmth. Al Gore is wrong. Melting ice caps, if they were real, will not flood our shores, no more than melting ice cubes in a tube of water. The ice melts, and does not raise the water level. 2/3 of an ice flow remains below the surface while the exposed 1/3 melts and or evaporates. Simple Jr. High physics class 1953. Or didn't all the freaky libs go that far in school? NO hard evidence proving man made activity responsible for the hyped Global Warming idea, only a miss guided therory at best.

Now, should AARP as an organization endorse any form of health reform with even a hint of "public Option
", or allowing any form of benefits to illegals, or seek to make them legal thru amnesty, I promise to cancel My AARP membership at once and encourage any other members to do the same. None of the so far offered plans sponsored by Pelosi and Reid are acceptable and will only aim to take over the entire health care industry, killing millions  of jobs, raising taxes to new hights, increase national debt, bankrupt  America beyond redemption. Seniors take warning, think it through before you let this happen. Our grand kids and their grand kids will suffer after they watch this generation die from neglect.

Man made global warming is a farce! My indoctrinated 16 year old straight A student informed us that all coastal towns will be flooded in ten years. Oh, she got this knowledge and college level credit for this course information. I am deeply concerned!

Hi All,  

I have completed my research on GLOBAL WARMING with the cure for it. My Analysis is completely based on my own theory which I call THEORY of 0, which means considering all facts & figures from 360 degree angle. I would appreciate if someone can get in touch with me as we are running short of time. Before I send the document or we proceed further with our conversation, I would like to relate few facts which has already been mentioned by SCIENCE (researches of NASA) that the cause of GLOBAL WARMING is CO2 (carbon dioxide) & methane gas. Which we relate to excess of pollution released through vehicle & industries.

Now my analysis would contradict or challenge the mentioned above which by BIG names, but at times if one analysis happens to be incorrect the entire RESEARCH is to be concluded completely wrong. If the THREAT is NATURE then the cause has to be GLOBAL & in majority, now consider the facts of science that the cause is CO2 & METHANE. In majority that the cause cannot be pollution or industries only because it has been taught & we still follow that HUMANS, which are in MAJORITY on this PLANET. WE DO EXHALE CO2, so the cause is HUMANS than concluding to any other aspect or angle.

It is HUMANS which is the CAUSE for GLOBAL WARMING. This is just the beginning of my ANALYSIS, if at all you find LOGIC to the mentioned above we can further take this ahead or else please IGNORE if you find no LOGIC in it. Moreover the WHOLE in the Ozone layer is co related to my ANALYSIS.

Am sure you will agree with me as the THREAT leaves us with no room for TIME.

My analyses conclude that the level of WATER would increase & the PLANET of PARADISE would become LAND OF WATER by 2012.

The ROTATION of the EARTH has increased, earlier it was taking 1degree movement (REVOLUTION) in 24hrs but now its is moving at a speed of 1 degree REVOLUTION in every hour which makes 24 degree REVOLUTION in 1 day. This further concludes the pace of 360 degree REVOLUTION in just 15 DAYS, anything moving faster than light year speed cannot be observed by naked eyes nor a speed which is in micro. Moreover the entire change in the atmosphere is because of the drastic change in release of the 3 energy's, which ALPHA, BEETA & YAMA. We human release three energies, which are positive negative & Neutral but all are released in different ways which should not be the case at all.

Please analyze the mentioned above with LOGIC'S or else please IGNORE.

There is a gas that is taken from some ponds that they have discovered and scientifically proved that helped shape what we now call the ozone layer that is causing so many to worry but if we burn it because it is gas it has a ten times worse side effect, it can only be captured , one bottle at a time according to the person that discovered it, also if we pump vegetable oil back into the places that we take crude oil from then oil is oil even if it will help cause it causes an eco balance  To much salt water and regular water will cause an imbalance because water is only at certain levels in our system of balance.  USCURNOW17 is my online name if you want to look me up or search me.

I have to agree with Mr. Revkin, Global Warming is taking place at an alarming rate, something needs to be done and soon. We cant rely on wind,or solar power they will not cover a base load supply,we need to upgrade or current coal fired system and perfect Carbon Capture and Sequestration technology and also look for new forms of energy. We need to invest in efficency in our Coal Plants and bring them up to current technology levels, our existing fleet of Coal Fired Plants are  using by the most part 30 year old technology if we were to upgrade our current fleet of plants to the newer Super Critical Technology and Ultra Super Critical units like China is in the process of doing we could make the same amount of power with anywhere from 15% TO 20% more efficency factor which would equate to millions of tons of coal  not being burned and wasted, and getting the same amount of power. Which while we are cleaning up our coal fleet we could be accelerating our wind and solar power research and battery systems so we can eventually walk away from using so much coal in the future. I hear lots of people saying we should do entirely away with coal today and rely on wind, solar, and nuclear power, lots of luck with that, that would have the effect of turning our country into a third world country overnite.

I have been involved in the Coal Fired Power Plant industry for 35 + years, I know what the rate of burn is at these coal fired plants is,for instance the power station at Colstrip Montana burns approximately 23000 tons of coal in a 24 hour period. I might add that this is one of very many plants operating in our country, you have to think about across the planet how many units are operating, and some some of them have zero emissions control. Now when you think of the unprecedented amount of Carbon going into the atmosphere, think about the thickness of life sustaining atmosphere surrounding our planet, it averages about three miles thick about the thickness of an onion skin on an onion.

My question to all these doubters is are you willing to make that ultimate bet on your childrens and grand childrens future, or would you rather make an error on the conservative side and do what it takes to insure a future for our children by taking the steps neccesary to restrict carbon overload into the atmosphere?

Global Warming, aka climate change is hot air from Al Gore's loud mouth.  I am an environmental engineer, and I can reassure you all that it is a lie in order to have powerful people take over the United States, and then the world.  It's an excuse for big tyranical government to take over and put everybody under their thumb.  Do you realize that the gov't want to use global warming as an excuse to put GPS monitors on your car, and track you so you're not exceeding your carbon footprint.

It is so easy to prove global warming wrong.  They say that increased city area and developed areas are heating the earth.  Fair enough, but they don't tell you that at night the earth cools back down!!!!  There is no greenhouse effect.  In a true greenhouse situation the planet would not be able to cool back down.  

Global warming is a big fat lie put out by the statists. 

I hope you folks all understand that you are members of a left-wing lobbying group which is supportive of Obama's policies, many of which are directly contrary to our interests as senior citizens.  I challenge you to do just a little bit of research and see what you learn.  You are being led like sheep to the slaughter.  The nationalized health care plan being proposed is a virtual nighmare, and AARP is supporting it, to your detriment, with your dues.  Shameful.
