SUNSHINE

Born each day like the rising of the morning sun
Embracing new beginnings shinning bright, we both ascend
Disband visions of despair from my mind.

Like many sunrises before, echoing sentiments we blend
Shine bright, warm all with our glow for tonight no more
Always in mind to repaint the past a hopeless chore;

Shower me with wisdom improving more
Eyes of sunshine so bright, can I see tomorrow without sorrow?
Each sunrise new not as before progressing in mind destined sign.

Cumulative thoughts, sunshine’s warming effect
Inhaling exhaling abstract construction
Absorbed like warmth of sunshine bright

When the warmth of my glow shines no more
Each new day you will remember this day is not as before
Embrace wisdom of past; feeling the warmth of your glow
Into another new day you must go.

Darksong, a very peaceful poem filled with optimism rather than the dark things that you write about. It has a sense of hope and fulfillment, but also a touch of melancholy in the words "when the warmth of my glow shines no more". There comes a time when the darkness that we keep embracing becomes a burden, keeping us in the shadows of discontentment. It's good to bask in sunlight once again.

"...to repaint the past...." is indeed a hopeless chore. Why do we keep trying when the sunshine will arrive and we can start all over and make amends where appropriate. Just beautiful poem of inspiriation. Thank you, Zil

This is very beautiful Darksong! I like the idea of embracing new beginnings.
