I wrote this for a man named Jim whom I never met in person. He was the cousin of a friend and I had the pleasure of reading some poetry he wrote that touched me deeply. “GEM” I never saw his face, when he put his pen in place, but my soul he did touch, that smoothed out the rough I never saw his face but he knew me and I knew him by the touch of his pen I never saw his face, flesh of my flesh, and bone of my bone for as I read we became one . . . That man behind the pen |

That's how I feel with all of you here in the Group -- I've gotten to know a lot of you through your poetry and comments and I feel like we're friends even if we've never met in person.
Very nice. That could apply to many of the poets here, whose words we read, but who we've never met.
Lovely poem flowernthesnow, The man behind the pen will be proud to know that he inspired you to write beautiful poems.
