backseat driver wants the light on so he can read as he rips out a page when he finishes it
rrrriiiipppp #8166726
thanks to running up a greased hill pushing a square stone while wearing flip-flops in the rain
only three sites can be done
have to leave Post to complete four in private sector
first one wants to help’
i ‘remind’ her these sites are not her’s and she will not be paid
she agrees
we book through site one
back in my vehicle she wants to know how she puts it down on her time sheet
say what?!
all next sites she sits in my vehicle and sulks
i-do-not-care
finally back on Post heading to last two main side sites
okay!!!!
MPs four knocking at the door
just great now what
second rider matches the id of someone spotted breaking into a vehicle to a t
WHAT?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i must prove that my crew, adultbrats that they are have been in my charge all nite working
must show my master time sheet
second rider told to go finish work
kcitkcot
MPs three take down id info on second rider
Mps three take sown info on moi
i am informed we may not leave the site until released
of course my cell battery decides to die
have to use site’s private office phone
i’m sure i will hear about this one
i call the owner of the company we crew for
out of state
why not
three hour diff and HE’S upset?
whatever
clock has not froze in motion
relay info to owner
he commands i order the head MP to come to the phone
yeah right
i ask
yakyakyakyak
still ordered to remain at site
hey! Guess what?
The MP four tell me their detective is on his way!
happyhappyjoyjoy
clock now is in counterclockwise feature and glowing blue
i wonder what that means
site completed crew ordered to sit in my vehicle
‘i’ cannot
‘i’ must stand beside my vehicle where one MP watches me
actually i was considering jumping through passenger window and telling backseat person to DRIVE!
Sorry, momentary mental snap
clock big hand has broken off
finally given blessing to vacant site and move on
hey only four more sites left
ring
what now
owner says take second rider off Post and to his vehicle
must leave first rider at site
she gets paid i don’t
drop off page ripper
stop at my place for charger
call owner to give update
i am so thirsty
get a drink and it spills on jeans
change
at north gate and guess what
left my id in other jeans
^&*%$++()&+*%
make to my place in record nontraffic ticket time
get id
back at north gate
pick up first rider
complete last sites
drop first rider off
0356
can’t go to sleep though
no point anyway
have to pick up second rider to do four private sector at 0500 for the next three day
so i am now working just shy of 24 hours monday through friday
yes it is friday AM and i can get the equipment back to the person who is suppose to do the site
nope
clock has shattered waaay long ago
there is no Time
guy ditches and leaves me stuck with sites
call owner and leave message to return my call ASAP
ring
‘yes’
i quit
‘what!’
you need to get back here and take care of your company
‘i will be back tomorrow’
i am beyond **** and ready to sniper people out using my finger and a glare
‘hang in there i’m coming’
-click-
i sure did
so here I sit at 0329 and actually smiling even though i will be working another nearly 24
repeating in my mind what i kept saying to riders one and two that nite...
No big deal, it just a week of mondays

consider any errors in spelling as a gift from a sleep depived me to anyone who’s awake to read this
and the next time you have a herd of things go wrong
just remember this masterpiece of a single nite and say what has become my OM
“No big deal, it’s just a week of mondays” and smile on

ActuAlly eyE SnApped a few lifetiMes agO. Nothing like Life's folks, and the events that follow them, pounding at you until either you break or you snap back at it. After 55 years of training, I snap back. As always, I look forwards to hearing from you Sara. Thank you for being there.

I could not stop reading your interesting story Moi. You described to perfection one day in the life of an overworked soul. The possibilities of all these situations happening in the same day are real. No wonder people snaps when things go like that and it takes a strong one to say at the end of the day “No big deal, it's just a week of Mondays” and smile on. Wonderfully written!
