Using the right tools can help start your business and keep it afloat.  RetirementJobs.com and Seniorjobbank.com are good ones, but someone that is young like in thier 20s could see the jobs that are open.  And that causes the job sites to not do what it is intended to do.  Seniors4Hire.org has better security on the site.  You are offered a password, and those job seekers over the age of 50 with membership can gain access to those jobs.  Compainrg prices also is a good move.  With today's economy in the shape it's in, compairing prices is the best move of all.  That way, you can sign up for the membership that has the best prices.

Not sure that this hasn't been covered before, but here's a thought..

When creating my Human Resources Advisory/Consultancy business, I put together an advisory team of 5 personal friends, yet highly respected business professionals in their own right, whom  I trusted and respected,to give me good practical advice on strategic and tactical business concepts. No not a board of directors, just people who would sit around the kitchen table and help me steer the direction of my business.  No nonsense (or no bull), just straight and honest words of wisdom.

I would recommend this approach to anyone who is sincere about starting a business, it really helps.

Another good thing to do if you are starting a buiness is if you build a online website about your business.  There are many places to go to get your domain name and many other items you need for a business but I highly recommend this website at www.biggdomains.com as their prices are nice and customer service is wonderful.

Whether you are starting a business or are already in business, having the right advisors is pivital to your success.  Family and friends mean well, but are they truly giving you the best advice?

There is a FREE resource that provides one-on-one confidential and objective business advice.  In every state in the US you can find the Small Business Development Centers (SBDC). They are grant funding to help businesses grow and succeed.  From business plans, finance, access to loans, marketing, process management, HR and more.  Visit the following link to find a center near you: http://www.sba.gov/aboutsba/sbaprograms/sbdc/sbdclocator/index.html

7 ingredients to Success!

# 1 - PASSION!   Without it you will fail. It carries you though the rough spots and excites customers. This ingredient must be added to all of the following ingredents for your business to in order for it to rise.

#2 - Planning! Planning, and Planning!  It is the difference a successful company makes.

#3 - Funding! - Cash is King.  There is NO free money to start a business.

#4 - Product/Service - Differenciate - know how it solves a problem - understand why it is successful through your customers eyes.

#5 - Markeitng! Know your Target.  It is NOT everyone and you DO have competition.

#6 - TEAM! Whether employees; contracted; vendors; shippers; accountants; bankers or lawyer, they are ALL on your team.

#7 - Reputation - with clients, employees, vendors and the community at large.  Do you give back?

You're spending money on yourself and your family anyway; and what are getting in return for your money are products ususally inferior products in terms of real health and well being? Imagine if you could buy theses products from a top company - your own business that pays you back as you develop a group that also buys from the company.
