If you're looking for a new job or career where you can answer your calling to serve others - in a sector projected to be among some of the top job generators in the country - consider applying for a job with the federal government. To help you explore job vacancies in your area and to understand the federal hiring process, AARP and the Partnership for Public Service will present a free webinar (an online meeting conference) on July 14. Federal career coach Lily Whiteman, author of "How to Land a Top-Paying Federal Job," will present. Click here for more information and to register for this event. |

To view the recorded version of The Ins and Outs of Applying for a Federal Job, visit this page. The link to view the webinar is toward the bottom of the page, on the left side. You do not need to enter a "recording key" to view the webinar.
This webinar was held again on Tuesday, October 13, and was recorded. The recorded version will soon be available for viewing on the AARP.org Work channel (www.aarp.org/money/work). A link to the webinar will also be posted here, and on the Water Cooler homepage, under the "Applying for Federal Jobs" topic thread.
Hi, I'm including the link below to the presentation. If you cannot open it directly, maybe a copy and paste in your web browser will gain you access to it. I hope it works!

Hi, Any chance you can email me the presentation. I'd loved to take a look at it. Thanks, Doug
Unfortunately, I was one of the attendees that could not log onto the meeting. I appreciate that they e-mailed me the presentation though. I found it helpful and useful since I'm not familiar with applying for federal jobs. I read somewhere that AARP was going to offer this webinar a second time for those attendees not able to participate on July 14th due to the technical difficulties. Is this still going to take place? And, does anyone know the date and time it will be presented again?
