Boy did we have a fight last night.  The wrecking crew met the cat.  Really that's all that needs to be said but I always like to bark at all of you so here goes.  Mom let the wrecking crew out while the cat was in the living room and he was sitting on moms friends lap and Mystic and Cutie took one look and attacked.  What made it worse was that Mom's friends dog got in the mix as well, and Merlin knows the cat.  The cat headed for the kitchen for the bay window to get away and in the move he nailed mom's friend on the arm.  He bleed real bad.  The cat got away though I wasn't sure whether I was happy about that or not.  I was a good dog and just watched from a distance.  I'm smart enough to know that I didn't want any of that mess.  Elan mom's friend jumped all over Merlin after it was all over he told Merlin that he was a bad boy then he added insult to injury by telling Merlin that the cat was his brother .   Humans can really be weird at times.  The cat as well as the wrecking crew came out on top nobody was hurt except for mom's friend.  I have lost some respect for mom's friend though by calling that darn cat Merlins brother .  After all dog's rule.  Good barks to all Baby .

Thanks for the offer but I don't think we will need your help last night was quiet Mom didn't let the wrecking crew near the cat.  It was a nice change.  The cat stayed in the guest bedroom most of the day which was fine with me.  Mom's friend brought down a box of TREATS  for all of us so that made my ears perk up.  You know me I will eat anything that won't eat me first.  Mom calls me a four legged vacumn.  I always tell her well that's more for her to love.  Good barks to you all  Baby.

Merlin and I have become friends since he moved in.  Mom knows how I feel about having the cat in the house.  Merlin said that you have to consider the source and that his dad knows that he is better than any old cat.  His dad like my mom are animal lovers and will take in any animal that needs help if they can.  Humans can really be dumb and weird at times but I love mine 95 percent of the time the other 5 is when I'm in trouble, wait i never get in trouble.  Good barks to you .

       You have the best stories!  I wish I could have seen the WC's reaction, what fun, I guess you were right staying out of the action though, an innocent party could have been blamed for the ruckus. 

        Poor Merlin, even though he has been an annoyance to you, can you imagine the horror and embarrassment of being told that a cat is your brother?  What was  Elan thinking?   This could cause Merlin deep psychological trama.  I hope you told him that Elan does not know what he is talking about.  Cats and dogs do not mix.  Cats are inferior, selfish creatures, while we DOGS are superior, intellegent warm and fuzzy bundles of love.  Maybe you should let your mom know about this, she is smart and will know what to do.

My big brother, Skye, and I were raised around cats - Mom had two in the house when we lived in OH.   Gypsy Halo has never seen a cat and she'd probably go nuts if she did.   Skye and I don't mind them at all.   When Mom and I first moved home (2 yrs ago now) she had a 'wild' cat and it would sit on the driveway or behind the hedge and I would see it and just ignore it as it did me.    Mom can't have cats now as her mother is allergic to them so has the baby birds instead.    I don't mind them either even though I am not allowed to stay in the same room with them when they are out of the cage.   Mom seems to enjoy them though not nearly as much as she enjoys us!

Poor Merlin, calling that cat his sibling.    Humans!  Can't live with them and can't live without them at times.  Right?  

Glad no one was hurt (except the dumb friend) though.    That could have been one bad scene.

Hope your weekend goes well - without incident!  Maintain your cool.
