Spelling Bee
The AARP National Spelling Bee will take place Saturday, June 19, 2010, at Little America Hotel and Resort in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The fun yet challenging bee is open to anyone age 50 or older, except for previous winners. Over the years, we've been contacted by many people interested in starting a local spelling bee for people age 50 and older. We know that bees are held in Arkansas, Iowa, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Oregon, Texas and several other places. Some are arranged by a community group or a senior center and others are organized by a college or university. Is there a spelling bee for people older than 50 in your community? If so, tell us about it.

Good idea! But, can I bring spellcheck?
