Can anyone tell me about the exhibits? Were individual hospitals represented? Was there information regarding Hip and Knee Replacement.

That's what I am considering. I am the Total Joint Program Coordinator for Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers, Florida. We do about 2000 hip and knee replacements a year. Three years ago we implemented an innovative wellness based program for these patients. Since Orlando is so close I am putting together a proposal to have an information booth at the 2010 conference. This will be my first time attending and wanted to make sure this information would be of value to attendees.

There was a lot of medical information available on several different topics like cancer, kidney functions, foot and leg issues, diabetes, mobility issues, vision and hearing...those are exhibits I saw specifically but I don't remember any named hospital being represented.  I too was looking for hip replacement info and didn't see any just addressing those surgical procedures.

Of course it was a packed hall and I certainly could have missed them.

Excellent idea though!  Maybe next year they could get a hospital and or surgeons involved??
