I recently read an article about cats that were left or right pawed. But I don't remember where I read it or whether a female used her left paw or right paw. Can anyone help me? I have watched my 2 female cats and when playing they both seem to use their left paw, most of the time, but then the next time they are using their right paw first.

I have never given it much thought about which paw a cat uses, until I read your note, and started to thinking about Lancelot, and when you throw a ball at him, the left paw is usually the one he hits it with. But I have also seen him uses both paws, when he is hitting it back and fore. Maybe cats at like us human, where we have a tendency to use the hand that seems natural. In my case it is my left hand. Have a nice day.
Here's a link to one article. I don't know if it's the one you read. I have two females, one of which favors the left paw and one the right paw.
