Hi - I was wondering if any of you belong to Ravelry, too.  I'm runorknit, if you belong.  juana

Hi Naneki-f!  You may not have added much to your page in Ravelry, but I love Ravelry for all the patterns and the great groups, who offer support and encouragement!

Once you start adding your books and magazines, you'll be able to easily search for any patterns in them.  I especially love that feature.  And if you have local friends on there, you can browse their libraries and search for patterns.  Using this great feature, we've been able to do a coupld of KALs.

I'm headed over there now to look for you!  juana

Why, yes you can.  I've met other knitters through Ravelry.  I suggest you look for members in your area or groups located at knit stores or in your area.

I also suggest joining other beginning knitter groups on Ravelry.  And if you are visual (like me), check out YouTube for videos.  There's also www.knittinghelp.com.  I love that site.  It's answered a number of questions for me.  Look for me on Ravelry.  I'm RunorKnit there, too!

Hello,

I just joined the Ravelry site.  I am a true beginner to knitting.  Is is possible to find someone on Ravelry in the state and area where I live - to teach me how to knit - to be able to make something simple?  I have taken lessons before - but I need someone that could help me with one-on-one help.  I am a bit of a slow learner - but if someone had patience - I would be able to learn better.

I enjoy trying the one stitch I know how to do - the knit stitch.  I really have fun trying.  And I know how to cast on.

Thank you for listening.

Sincerely,

Charline in Texas

I'm a new member to both this group and Ravelry, the latter of which I joined about two months ago. Hi everyone!

I'm a member of Ravelry...

When I joined my local library knitting group, I found out that they had a "group" on Ravelry as well.

Problem is... I spend way too much time on there.

Anyone a member of the "WEBS" site??

It's been a while since I posted here.  I've been a knitting fanatic!  And now that I've got about 10 UFOs, I'm ready to start finishing them up this month.  Especially the sweater for my DH.  Just one more sleeve and the collar!  Whew!

I've been mostly going to Ravelry, rather than here. I finished logging in all my books and magazines.  I love how you can search for patterns through your own library, so have been able to identify some projects I'd like to work on after I get some of these UFOs done.

Isn't Ravelry a great site!
