Folk, This month I got some Moon & Star pattern glass from a couple of online sites. Neither of the sellers advertised their wares as being antiques but I thought that both might be. If you look in our group photo gallery, you'll see the a picture of both- a 10" covered candy jar and a set of salt and pepper shakers that are posted. Can you guess which is the real antique and which is the new glass? The real antique is...the set of salt of salt and pepper shakers. They are Adams Palace glass and were made in 1888 or thereabouts. The 10" covered candy jar was made, I believe, somewhere between 1962 and 1981. Oh well. One of two ain't bad. coffee_drinker |

I have a friend in Bakersfield, Ca. that is into glassware, and has a shop. She might have more info on the Adams things. She might be in this AARP Antique group, but couldn't say for sure.

Thanks for the post. There's a lot of interesting information there. How about that big 8" compote! I'd like to have that full of M&M's.Hahaha
