Does anyone have any good websites for gaining Scholarships for Women over 50? |

I suspect the best way to go about this is do the "what color is your parachute" thing and really decide what you want, first. Then search high and low for opportunities. Volunteer in it and keep your ears open, eyes on the Prize!
Excellent advice from 4laura. Many colleges have scholarships and grants available for "non-traditional" students. Addittionally, I would look into a Liberal Arts College if you have one in your area. As an "older student" there may be more scholarship money available.
Like I said I want to further my education and achieve getting my MSW (Master of Social Work). I want to be able to do counseling one on one.

The information is not for me it is for one of my Avon customers, she is taking some Writing Courses at Northern Kentucky University and I told her she could probably get it all paid for. She has a nursing degree and other achievements but has always wanted to be an author. She is finding if more difficult than she thought but is enjoying it.
Any info would be helpful.
I would be intreested in finding out more about this also. I just got laid off my job and one of my dreams is to obtain my MSW degree.

What do you want to study; it might be easier to narrow down your search.
Good for you! I would suggest contacting the financial office of the college you are interested in attending because they may have scholarships they don't necessarily advertise.
At age 47, I enrolled in night college for two years and when I applied to the College of Arts & Sciences for my last two years as a full-time student (junior and senior) I was awarded a two-year scholarship ($2,000 per semester) designated for women over 35 who were on track to graduate from college. I did not apply for this - the award letter just showed up in the mail.
Good luck!
