I worry about the dumbest things but I am changing my email id.  My primary issue is the one I use now is too complicated and it is on Yahoo. I want to move to gmail.  I have set up 2 ids and can answer them from a single mailbox. One is more formal. firstname.lastname@gmail.com.  I use that for my secondary business email etc. Not to a lot of people. The other is RichFromEarth@gmail.com. Actually, not Rich as that isn't my first name but you get the idea. I wanted something simple and easy to capture. I am afraid it is too cute.

I figure we have talked about dumber subjects in this group. What the heck. Opinions anyone?

I don't have any answers for you. My handle in Hotmail has been "Sisterena" for 15 years. I feel like it's time for a change, but can't think of anything to change it to.

"Sisterena" is cool how it fits with my name--Rena. I picked it 15 years ago when I first joined my church, which is predominantly African American. At church and when we meet outside the church, people often call me "sista Rena," because we're sisters and brothers in Christ, and it's our church's culture. The handle "Sisterena" sort of fell into my lap! It blends my European heritage with the culture of my church.

I can use it anywhere I go. Usually when I have to create a new user name on one of the millions of sites that require it, "Sisterena" hasn't been taken yet. Get this: sometimes when it has been taken, it was taken by me, years ago!

If I come up with a new handle, it will probably be "Purplehawk," because I love my purple canoe. It's a Blackhawk, a company that went out of businces years ago because they did such a superb job making canoes they couldn't afford themselves LOL!

I say that, but when it comes to the doing, I remain Sisterena.

Well, the idea was to move to Gmail. I did NOT want the same ID.

I think you are making a mountain out of a mole hill. My ID on AIM and Yahoo is pretty long and I have never had a complaint. It is MrsRobinsonRedux.

Kite Flying

"...go fly a kite"; lol; we have no wind today here in Sierra; lovely weather; temps.,relatively mild & dipping at night; just about 'perfect' as far as I'm concerned!

Say, are you going to be kayaking today?

When I was raising my Mary Elizabeth "coastside" in Half Moon Bay (25mi. south of San Francisco), we loved flying kites on the beach & watching others fly their kites, especially the kites with multiple colored-ribbon tails!!!  We also had so much fun watching the hangliders run, jump off the steep cliffs, and soar out over the beautiful Pacific!

Have a serene, funfilled week-end, kiddo!

Cheers,   Anna

Thanks, but I won't let it go to my head. I can be brusque at times so I should probably wait until the afternoon to respond to some of the topics when I can think a little before I just react. But, what you see is what you get.  Hope your having a great week end. The weather is great here, 68 and sunny,  except for the strong winds a perfect day. I should go buy a kite and fly it as that would make some people happy.

Great way to change the subject, thanks, and I think they should be clubbing soda.
