Reading about the Department of Justice, NPR, Harris Teeter and two hotels moving to the area known as NOMA will it really change this area?

It would be nice to have some sit down options besides Macdonalds and that chicken place at N. Capital and NY Avenue.  i tend to frequent U street and chinatown, like Zengo's and the various ethiopian restaurants. or i go to starbucks where i know i can get a reliable cup of joe.  the crime wave we're having in the 5th district is pretty scary. i'm not sure i'd walk to any restaurant in the dark, not at the moment.

here's to better times!

Well the ATF building for one and the new retail that and the hotel will bring. I'm just looking forward to more food optons in my neighborhood. There are currently no sitdown places outside Windows Cafe on 1st St NW & Rhode Island Ave. The Harris Teeter will be good but that's still a few years out as they just broke ground.

NoMA has been changing pretty much continuously for a long while, wouldn't you say? Should be an interesting ride. Columbia Heights around 14th & Park is almost unrecognizable now, from say 5 years ago. Never a dull moment in DC.

What are you wondering about, change wise?
