I hope I did this right, just had a personal come-on from someone listed as rosiegirl22 and sent it to spam. Does this get looked by moderators? Jan |

You did the right thing by selecting SPAM, this does get looked at by AARP and we will take action to remove any spammers on our site. Thank you!
Also, if they are asking for you email addy, they are conning you. With that, they have access to your contacts list and even your IP addy. These too, should be reported as Spam.
You handled it correctly. I received one too and did the same.
This is from AARP help.
Be careful and use your best
judgment! While AARP.org tries to foster a safe and secure Online
Community, the Internet is plagued with con artists and scammers who
will try to take advantage of unsuspecting users. For example, if a
message includes requests for money or inappropriate romantic
overtures, you should report it to
community@aarp.org
.
Our Message Center provides a convenient way to send a private
message to another user, but we recommend that you join groups for a
more diverse and coordinated means of discussion among Online
Community users.
