MY LORD AND MY GOD
At times
frustration hits me
Overwhelms my
parted heart
All is haze
before me, hidden is my destination
It is then that
a breeze of intuition reminds me
The lord I need
to seek.
Should I kneel
or lay down in silence
His voice so
that I can hear
Or should I
stand at attention before my King,
whose face
I’ve never seen.
My heart and
mind I then surrender
And free them
from all thought,
all
attachments, all convictions,
just him alone
I desire to seek
once clear of
all that clouds me
Peace I start
to feel
It has to be
his Holy Presence
For he told me
to be still
I then know
He must be near
My heart is
filled with gladness
The peace that
I have found
Once more
assures me,
That sin cannot
have me bound
I then seek the banquet
Where I invited
am ,
Then hear the
words spoken
From a man so
much like me.
In
“Persona Christi” he proclaims to all,
“This is
my Body, This is my Blood”
On my knees I
then fall
Behold my
Lord, my God and All
