I am a widow so I took advantage of the Social Security rule that I could retire at 60.  With my late husband's SSI earnings I was able to semi-retire and follow a dream.  I live in South Dakota and I thought that would be a good place to start my travel guide research.  I bet I checked a 100 websites to see what was available and I kept coming up with the same ole same ole.  The only information I could find in detail was the usual "tourist trap" towns and attractions.  I am a history buff and I LOVE museums and historical sites that are located in small towns.  Over the past three years I have found I am not the only one either.

With that bit of information in hand, my life partner, Marlo, and I set out across this state with camera and pen in hand and put together what we think is the most unique travel website out there.  We took 12 highways in SD that went from border to border and recorded EACH AND EVERY town on those highways with pictures and history.  We are forever "tweaking" that website but have almost reached the finish point.  Before we take on Nebraska, Wyoming, North Dakota and Minnesota, I would like some feed back about how the "general public" sees this website.  Of course, family and friends tell us that is the most fantastic thing they have ever seen but I'm afraid they might be a little prejudice too, smile  I'm not sure if AARP will allow writing a website out fully so I will simply say to see this site you neet to put the usually three w's before travelinfomap and the dot com after it and just google it that way.  South Dakota Highway 14 on Google will pop us up as #1 on the page - believe me that makes us feel great.

I am sincere about the feed back and any suggestions anyone might have.
