The greatest legacy we can leave to our children and grandchildren is universal access to health care. This is one of the greatest moral issues of our times. This group is intended to offer a forum for reasoned, non-ideological exploration and discussion of the expansion of Medicare into a national single payer plan that can provide access to all Americans and control runaway costs. Providers will remain private and costs controlled by the administrative efficiencies of a single insurer with the bargaining power to keep costs low. What can we learn from the experience of other countries that can help us form an efficient, just, and moral health care system for ourselves and our posterity?
