I just spent 12 days living in another World. It was the World of Show Draft Horses at a Fair in Fryeburg, Maine. The photo is of 6 of the 7 Percheron Draft Horses that I helped the owner care for. They earned a Blue Ribbon for the performance in the 6 Horse Wagon Hitch shown. It was a "Long" 12 days. I tended the stalls where they were boarded to make sure they were safe and the stalls clean. I also answered questions from the thousands who visited the Stables. I have done this job before at other Fairs and at this one last year. This may be my last. I am allergick to the dander as I am in cats. Two or three days at a time I can deal with. But, not the 12 day straight duty. On top of the breathing problems that required an Inhaler now and again, I came down with a Cold. Bad combo! Call me "Out Of Action!" When you hear them talk about the danger of Ahsmatics coming down with the Flue, believe it!!! I was pushing Peneumonia with just a Cold! Flue would have hospitalized me! It shows me that I have to keep my visits to my One Ton Friends to a short time frame. I also got over 400 photos and will post some as I weed thru them. Stay Tuned! Art
