About Me

I took early S.S. retirement (62yo) in 2004. I am working part time to help pay the rent. I am single, was been married (6 years), divorced at age 28, was in an LTR for almost 32 years before my partner died in March of 2001. I keep busy at home with my 4 legged family. There is Monkey, he is my Brussels Griffon, a male. Then there is Lil' Bit, she was John's, when he died just before Christmas, 2007, she became my little girl, oh, she is a Chiwawa (sic). Well, seems Monkey and Lil' Bit felt like fooling around behind my back - not just once but twice!!! First litter of what they call "Chussels" was born July 22nd, 2008, there were 4 - 2 boys, 2 girls. Second litter just showed up on the 11th of February, again, 4 but this time there are 3 girls and 1 boy. Oh, we also have 2 big black tom cats -- they add to a very colorful, active and loving home.

Interests:
Guess I'm a computer geek -- I spend too much time behind the keyboard and monitor. Not active in any sports. I maintain my groups web sites and put out a weekly "e" newsletter for the group. I am on our groups "steering committee" - which means work for nothing for the good of the group -- I love it!!!!

I cannot agree more about Soc sec. I, too, began receiving early retirement, after having lost my job. After subtracting Medicare part B (hosp), prescription ins cov and supplemental ins cov, there is positively nothing left. That is not even counting eye care and the dentist, which I believe is another policy. Yes, it is a joke, but definitely on us. Re food and gas, I figure they think it is an extra perk. I don't think they care where recipients live, how they live, or just simply manage their lives.

I'm just afraid Obama is going to let the Republicans "commercialize" SS probably but all the funds in some sound companies like Enron or AIG -- probably even bank it at some sound fiancial institute that needs a Billion $$ bail out. It is sickening the mess we have allowed ourselves to get into. Wolves in Sheep skins abound in this far right world and of course they want to put all blame on the far left for "social programs". If all this darn money that seems to be going into bail outs were spent on "WE THE PEOPLE" social programs, we would be far better off -- at least we would know who **** us out of the money - as it is now we are paying the rich to get richer -- unfortunately Obama will be the scape goat
