It's a 'hobby, sport, game or past time' depending on your interest, pace and level of activity. Geocaching is a hi-tech treasure hunt game. By using a Global Positioning System receiver (GPSr) and information from www.geocaching.com, you find "hidden treasures" called caches. A cache container, hidden by other players, is typically a waterproof container with a log book, to record your find and trinkets. The real "FIND" is the adventure of the hunt and seeing new places. My wife and I love doing it because it gets us out of the house and walking through parks and seeing new places we normally wouldn't go to. The only cost is getting a GPSr. The web site is free and you meet a lot of neat folks. I noticed you are from Washington. The headquarters for Geocaching is in Seattle. Let me know if you would like more info.
