About Me

I have spent most of my life living in Central North Carolina near the NC State Zoo where I have been told they have a room reserved for me next to some other animals. The location is great when one likes the beach and mountains with it being a bit over three hours west to the mountains and the same going east to the beach. I also enjoyed living on the central California Coast until my two younger kids were born and we moved back to NC. Now the kids are grown doing their own thing not having much time for dad. My oldest I adopted lives in Texas with two kids of his own I rarely have gotten to see. Daughter is in the middle and lives a few blocks away and the youngest is still here ay home when he is not working

Interests:
I coached and sponsored little league, girls softball and both boys and girls youth basketball for a total of thriteen years. With the oldest being ten years older than the younger two it was only fair I do for the younger two also. I spent a few years helping out the youth athletic ****ociation turning down the offer of president. I like boating and fishing and though I have my lifetime hunting and fishing license I have not used them in a few years. Lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans. I enjoy wood working making hand mirrors from exotic woods. I write poetry, draw and paint in oils.

We have a great time for Thanksgiving with things going better than expected. Everyone brought over dishes they had prepared so the work was devided up between the family for a change. I have not done any shopping for Christmas presents and am having problems trying to think of what to get my eight year old grandson and granddaugther to send to them in time t get there before Christmas Day. They live in Texas so I don't get to see them very often making it even harder. I aksed my son what he thought would be good to send them and he had no idea either. When the parents don't know it sure does not help. I think I have decided what to get the older olds but am looking for the sales so I can get them something they will use.

I have not heard anyone talking about Christmas dinner yet so I will give it a few weeks before I start asking questions.

Hi Brent,

Yes, I have spoiled my little dog. She is a Corgi-Poo and will be 2 yrs old this Nov. I bet you have spoiled your Pom too. They are beautiful dogs.
Mine is a lot of company and always trying to get into something......just like a little kid.

Hope you have a great day!

Pat,

I think we all spoil our dogs as they become our best friends after getting attached to them. When I got Sandy a Red Sable Pom I had actually gone to get a black one. The lady let the puppies out of the pin and everyone of the black ones ran by me trying to get to the adult dogs. Sandy walked over and sat down beside my foot. Seeing he was the most gontle of the bunch I told her I would take him.

Have a great day,
Brent

Hi Brent,

Oh, sounds like Sandy is a very smart dog. He knew how to get you in the beginning....lol. I bet he is precious.
I found my on line and then drove 3 hours to Jasper, Ga. to see if she was the one for me. One look was all it took,,,,she has the biggest brown eyes I had ever seen and was just perfect. That was why I named her Angel. That was 2 years ago,,,,she is still Angel,,,,but I could think of other names now since I have really spent a lot of time with her! Oh, I would not know what to do without her and she is still my little Angel.

Have a good night.
