About Me

high school creative photography art teacher, family consists of 2 cats, a bunny, a chinchilla, a leopard gecko, a skink. and a husband. he has snakes. they eat frozen stuff, so no grossout factor. getting tired of teaching in miami. thinking of relocating up, like ocala, getting some acreage and a house and make a garden with lots of herbs and water paths and zen stuff. build a darkroom and a pottery shed with a wheel and a kiln. make soap. teach in a community college maybe. get a maid in once a week. (please). go to new orleans sometimes for weekends. kayak in the springs. want to save up and see europe. like ireland and wales, maybe paris once, or china. well, that's not europe, you know what i mean, the usual places. actually miami is beautiful but the rudest city in the US. really really rude. anyway, i need a garden. need sanctuary. joni mitchell once wrote in a song 'i'm frightened by the devil but i'm drawn to those ones who ain't afraid'. i always thought that was sort of real. maybe life needs some daring attempts..some random changes...some roads you take because of the color of the sky in that direction or the smell of fried chicken and gravy your mom made when you were little is drifting in from the west and why not anyway. so what is making you stuck can become unstickable when you aren't even looking. right? someone asked about my profile picture. it is "Passion" by Sir Frank Bernard Dicksee of the PreRaphaelites art movement

Interests:

reading, camping, sci fi tv, kayaking, new music, actually any music, caring for animals, walking in the sun, snorkelling when i can, still go to concerts occasionally if it's a big enough deal. only sport we like is hockey, mostly live though, rather than on tv. don't get to the ocean enough anymore.
