I must edit my profile now because today I celebrate my 60th birthday and still having the time of my life. My husband and I have two sons, and one granddaughter (4 yrs old). I am enjoying my retirement very much. I worked in the freight industry for almost 30 years, where did the time go? Alvin and I love to travel. We have been to the Caribbean a few times but we mostly travel in the USA by car or by train, we love the train. We saw the Grand Canyon and that was spactacular, I hope to see Niagara Falls in the near future. We take a lot of short trips within 100 miles of home about every other month. In a couple of weeks we will go to Los Angeles and celebrate our Family Reunion. We seem to always meet other retired couples that are getting out and enjoying their FREEDOM too. I don't understand people who say they are not going to retire because they will just be bored. BORED?? What is that? Between my family, friends, church and local community, I don't have time to get bored. In fact sometimes I have to "hide out" in order to get some rest. There are so many organizations that are looking for volunteers, i.e. schools, churches, hospitals, veteran groups, senior citizen groups and many more. There is something for everyone. Give it a try

My church is People of Christ B.C. where I serve on the Usher Board. I like watching baseball, football, and golf. My husband is trying to teach me to play pool, I have a long way to go but it's fun. When I'm not on the road, I like doing arts and crafts with fabric pieces, framing them for family and friendsMy Photos (17)
